Rose Wang
President and CEO, Binary Group, Inc.
Ms. Wang is the founder, President and CEO of Binary Group. She guides the overall strategy and vision for the company. Over the past decade, Ms. Wang has steered Binary to constant growth and innovation in the areas of management & technology advisory services. Binary is connecting the dots for customers through their SAGE model: Strategy, Architecture, Governance, and Engineering by acting as strategic advisors, thinkers and doers moving customers along the IT business transformation path to get them from Point A to Point B. They serve organizational leaders with enterprise-level responsibility in IT by providing best value, strategic IT program support services typically at the CIO or CTO level.
Binary's initial focus was a "Rent-A-CTO" practice – providing highly tehnical enterprise infrastructure and business strategy consulting services primarily to the telecommunications and Internet DotCom industries. With the turn of events of 9/11, Ms. Wang re-focused Binary's primary markets to the National Defense industry, translating the commercial best practices and hard earned technical skills to serve the Federal Government. Today, Binary's largest customer footprint is in the Department of Defense.
Ms. Wang has built a company with a foundation of corporate integrity and steady fiscal growth. She and the corporation alike have garnered significant industry recognition for these achievements. Recently, Ms. Wang was listed as one of the Minority Enterprise Executive Council's 50 Most Powerful persons. She was part of the SmartCEO's Future 50 and Smart100 for 2008. Washington Business Journal recognized her as one of the Top 50 2008 Minority Business Leaders in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Ms. Wang received the Bravo! Women Business Achievement Award from SmartCEO and TiE-DC where she was ranked as one of the top 25 business leaders in the Greater Baltimore-Washington metro area. She was also named a winner of the 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award and Women in Technology’s (WIT) Entrepreneur of the Year for 2007.
In 2009, SmartCEO's Circle of Excellence Program recognized Binary with a Customer Service Award because of the outstanding customer service provided to its government customers and Binary was the #11 8a government contractor according to Washington Technology (WT). Binary is the five-time recipient of the WT Fast 50 award since 2005. Binary was listed as the #1 Fastest-Growing Asian American Business in the nation for 2008 by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC-EF). In 2007, Binary ranked #5 as the Washington Business Journal's Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Binary has been part of the Inc 500/5000 for multiple years.
Ms. Wang's business acumen and entrepreneurial success have made her an influential and widely sought after speaker and visionary in the Enterprise Architecture/IT fields. She is on the Board of Directors for the Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI) and Women in Technology (WIT) and is heavily involved in other IT DoD organizations. She believes it is vitally important to give back and support the communities she lives and works in. Wang led the charge to support US Army troops in the Middle East and Binary has sponsored events such as the March of Dimes, Race for the Cure and a wide variety of charities that advance educational and humanitarian causes.
Ms. Wang holds a post-graduate degree in computer science from the University of Houston, Texas.
